Two college kids by an acre of land in Iowa and grow corn. They show how the growth of food in America has become machine operated and very impersonal. They interview a lot of farmers and also show how the corporate giant farms work. They also follow where the corn goes once it's harvested. It made me start looking at my processed food more closely and also led me to start buying meat and eggs from local farmers.

--Katie
http://frillythinking.blogspot.comKatiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09415513861276186775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8612216436046142856.post-59069041957088765332009-06-24T09:40:25.097-04:002009-06-24T09:40:25.097-04:00love ebert, miss siskel. thanks for this post, wan...love ebert, miss siskel. thanks for this post, want to check this one out.essbeseehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05745117719761568320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8612216436046142856.post-86690936151362994282009-06-20T09:47:31.817-04:002009-06-20T09:47:31.817-04:00You're crazy. Cats are not supposed to eat it, and someone told me that it may be a cause of rising rates of diabetes. Finding healthy food tailored to our pets' actual dietary needs, and not the big companies' pocketbooks, is a challenge.knitseashorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594976722011232979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8612216436046142856.post-13487016656087308302009-06-19T21:44:02.683-04:002009-06-19T21:44:02.683-04:00I am intrigued.
