New bird on the block No. 22

{Another Sweet Bird Tassel, by NestingPlace and available in her Etsy shop}

This may be the bird that breaks the camel's back, so to speak. When I first started these New Bird posts, it was a way that I could covet and enjoy all the little birdie things that catch my eye, without depleting my bank account. But this Sweet Bird Tassel, by Nesting Place, is divine, and may have to come and feather my nest. Nesting Place uses high end fringes, ribbons and trims to make "the prettiest things you'll never need." I love tassels and pipings and trims, they take your basic pillows, drapes, etc. to the next level. You can glam up the most humble Ikea linen curtains with ribbon trim or mini-tassels and an hour or so of straight sewing on the old Singer. And a tassel on a knob dresses up a door, dresser or sideboard nicely, while providing hours of enjoyment for the cat!

Many thanks to Julia at Hooked on Houses for leading me to The Nester's blog and subsequently her Etsy shop. If I buy all her tassels, I can blame Julia!

Your last post was a trip down memory lane... I still have papers with my grandmothers jotted down notes. I cant bring myself to throw them out. She would write on about anything. Im glad I found you. I found Hooked on houses by way of our mantel show off on thursday, so much fun. Nice to meet you, Susie H

What a nice ode to a tassel. And currently, this is my most favorite tassel!

It's hanging on the lamp that is lighting my keyboard as I type!

So glad you are here and you know I'm already crazy about you and your birdie ways! Oh, and don't you love H on H!?

PS, watch out for those trying to duplicate my birdie and nest tassels!

Mine are truly unique! Of course, I would think so!

Hate me.

Well, seeing as how I've been blamed for much worse things before (mainly by my teenager--ha), I think I can handle this. That Nester sure is a talented girl! I'm glad I could point you in her direction. -Julia :-)

Yes, I think it would be good idea to have this feather your nest - It is gorgeous!

Oh...what a sweet little bird. I see that it is no longer available in the lovely little etsy tassel shop...my fingers are crossed that you snatched it up! If so, you'll have to share it's place of honor in your nest with us.

love the way the bird is perched on top like it's on its nest.

I used to steal my mom's tassels and pretend they were ladies with long hair.
