No, we're not talking about me here (I'll never kiss & tell), but Sex & The City author Candace Bushnell, a Glastonbury, CT native whose country home in tony Roxbury, CT is featured in the Home section of today's Hartford Courant. One of my non-Resolution resolutions is to purge everything from my home office and start over with a nice clean slate, kind of like her desk here:

I really like the color of my living and dining rooms, but since my apartment faces north, every winter I get the urge to lighten and brighten with some paint. Luckily for the BF, who has volunteered to help me paint, my Gemini nature has issues with choosing a color, so we'll stick with Behr's Caribbean Coral for now.

I wonder how her desk looks in "real life"...I hope it's more messy. One thing about writing on computer is that you don't have as many stacks of paper, but where are the notes? I love looking at old photographs of famous writers and seeing their desks piled high with paper and notes and well, usually ashtrays because of the times. Though, in days where women weren't considered entitled to offices and wrote in nooks or at small desks, I suppose they were neater--I wonder what the Bronte sister's desks looked like.
Me too...i'm dreaming of making a great purge and clean my desk but a messy desk is also legitimate in a way !

Eek! Brandi, he wasn't my toddler, he was my cousin's (if he was my child he probably would have starved) and he's a big strapping middle-schooler now. He's come a long way since those turkey meatball days.
I would love a good, clean desk right now! My desk is the butler's pantry, as our puppy took over the space I had targeted for a desk.
